About

No matter how big your goals are, you will be moving toward them one day at a time.

This blog is about  getting the most from each working day. It’s a collection of thoughts on productivity, efficiency,  team work, and the practical ways to improve  it using tools like 5pm projects management service.

As a team split between two continents, separated by timezones and speaking a total of four different languages, we are striving to get the most out of our work time. So do teams all across the world, every work day. This blog is about sharing this experience.

This blog is about getting more done by 5pm.

Just curious why you have not updated your blog in a while…

It’s summer time, so it’s been a bit slower. Plus we also started working on some big projects that will take time to produce results. Work on 5pm also never stopped.

Please add one or two customizable alpha numeric fields to projects/tasks. This will let us track a process for varous projects, letting us change the status of tasks rather than clutter our interface with a dozen subtasks.

Thanks for considering!

how do I create dependencies between groups and their various tasks?
how effective is this tool for running inter departmental operations, prioritizing and monitoring them?

Groups are simple containers for projects and tasks inside them. A project or a task can belong to one group at a time. So we basically have the hierarchy Groups>Projects>Tasks>Sub-Tasks. Plus you can have tasks with no parent project (Groups>Single Tasks> Sub-Tasks).

We have many companies using 5pm, including the ones with many departments.
