We just replaced the old markup-based text formatting with a rich text editor (WYSIWYG) – you can use it in messages and descriptions. All old texts have been automatically reformatted.

We just added Tags filter to Time Report.

Tags are a great way to categorize and cross-reference tasks. This gives you extra flexibility – for example, you can tag billable tasks with a special tag, if only part of your work is billable.

If tags get in the way in the main view, you can always move them or even hide them.

5pm interface is now available in Japanese! Special thanks to Toshihiro Hongo from Infinity Solutions Inc. who helped with the translation.

All together 5pm is available in twenty one (!) languages now: English, Swedish, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, Italian, Croatian, Dutch, Finnish, Danish, Serbian, Hungarian, Slovak, Turkish, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Bulgarian and now Japanese!

Want to see 5pm translated into your language? Any 5pm user can contribute (including the free trial accounts) – just use the “Settings” menu on the top of your 5pm screen. There is a link there called “5pm Translation” that will take you to the public translation area.

We just re-published 5pm iPhone app on iTunes, which was removed recently due to some changes in Apple policy. Please use the new link to download it from iTunes.

We just increased the maximum file size to 50Mb (from 30Mb) – good news for those who work with very large files.

We just added the “Client Login” link to the 5pm website homepage. Now you don’t have to remember your 5pm site URL in order to access the login page (you can use both methods). It also makes it easier for people using multiple 5pm accounts (with the same login email) – it will let you choose what 5pm site to login into.

The 2012 just started but we haven’t been idle – today we released several new updates:

* Filter by tags option added to General Report
* “Mark as Done (include the tasks)” added to project options – now you can close a project and all its tasks at once
* Email notification option on editing user’s profile (now you can email a user his/her login details at any point).

We are looking forward to adding many more features in the new year and improving the existing ones.

We just added the possibility to open the images in a new window – it can be useful for very large files that do not fit into the popup preview window. This feature is accessible through the link on the bottom of the image preview.
