“I was struck by… how easy the system was to use without any sort of primer.” Read the whole article “5pm Makes Project Management Easy” by Christina Warren.
5pm interface is now available in Danish! Special thanks to Janus Jacobsen who helped with the translation. All together 5pm speaks thirteen(!) languages now: English, Swedish, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, Italian, Croatian, Dutch, Finnish and Danish.
Do you want to see 5pm translated into your language? Any 5pm user can contribute (including the free trial accounts) – just use the “Settings” menu on the top of your 5pm screen. There is a link there called “5pm Translation” that will take you to the public translation area.

We just extended the Time Report with the possibility to list the Progress Notes information – now you can have a detailed view of how the time was calculated.
Autodesk is a software company with products like AutoCAD, 3DS Max, Maya and Softimage, that found 5pm a good fit for managing their projects:
“We use the 5pm to manage technical marketing projects and deliverable. I chose 5pm because it was straight forward and easy to use with minimal training. I was using it proficiently in about an hour. For me though the biggest reason behind the choice was that it can’t get in the way or make my employees jobs more difficult or they just won’t use it. 5pm not only doesn’t get in the way it actually has made my teams communication easier.”

The possibility to answer directly from email to email notification, and getting the answer posted back into 5pm, is a handy feature. Now we improved it by adding a separator line (“Reply above this line”) into the email notifications to give users control of what actually to post to 5pm.
This update will give you the possibility to automatically exclude from your comments the email history, email signatures, etc.
