The beta version of 5pm Time Tracker desktop widget is out! It lets you record the time you spend on tasks and then submit it to 5pm. Developed in Adobe AIR, it works on both PC and Mac platforms. [ read more on our site ]
We just added a couple of changes:
- Users filter in my “My Stuff” view – prior to that this filter was only available in the “Projects” view. Now you can see what are “my tasks” for any user in 5pm (if you have the rights to see those tasks).
- Better support for Google Apps documents – for those who use Google Docs through their Google Apps domain we added a separate option for that. It makes it easy to work with multiple domains. You can now also add the Google Apps domain through the Settings screen.
5pm interface is now available in Croatian! Special thanks to Kruno Novosel who helped with the translation. All together 5pm speaks ten(!) languages now: English, Swedish, French, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Polish, Italian and Croatian.
Do you want to see 5pm translated into your language? Any 5pm user can contribute (including the free trial accounts) – just use the “Settings” menu on the top of your 5pm screen. There is a link there called “5pm Translation” that will take you to the public translation area.
We are glad to announce that 5pm Mobile Edition (beta) is out!
You can access it from the same URL as your web version – it will detect your mobile device.
So far it’s been tested on iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile. So give it a try on your smartphone and email us your comments! [ read more ]
Ever since we introduced Task Dependencies, our users gladly embraced this new feature and kept coming back with new suggestions. Many use the dependent tasks to create lists of sub-tasks. After collecting all the feedback, we came up with a redesign that combines task dependencies with sub-tasks:
- Sub-tasks still maintain dependencies with the parent task when its start date and/or deadline is moved around, but the parent task doesn’t need to have a deadline anymore (yes, this rule is gone!)
- Now you can fold/unfold the dependent tasks list
- The multiple nesting levels are clearly represented now
- Make quick connections between tasks by simply dragging them into each other!
We hope you will enjoy these updates.
