Ever wanted to see who did the last changes or who deleted a task? Or even better – how to restore it? While we are working on adding such abilities to the interface, here are some secret links you can use:

http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?count=200 – your last 200 logs. also contain restore links for deleted projects and tasks
http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?project=1751604 – logs just related to one project (by its ID)
http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?task=2296 – same with a task
http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?note=6267 – same with a message
http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?user=115 – same with a user
http://youraccountname.5pmweb.com/events.php?group=135 – same with a group

Hi 5pm team,

Is this viewed by admin account(s) only?
Or log access is built based on per records permission for each user?
Can regular user restore his/her own tasks?

Best,
Sergei.

These are maintenance links, not really intended to be used bu the regular users. Only Administrators can access them at this point.

Is this as simple as pasting the one the links above? Do I need to be signed in as administrator?

Yes, but you have to replace your name in it. And yes, you have to be an administrator.

I’m putting my name in the account name area for the link and copying and pasting but it’s only taking me to the 5pm home page. I would like more instructions about how to do this please- I am an Admin on the account. thank you

how can i find out the users id?

5pm Team February 20, 2012 at 10:13 am

Kristian > You would have to contact 5pm support for that. We don’t expose use ID in the interface.

These logs are not an official feature – just an internal tool we use. But our clients found it useful when they need to find out who deleted something, or even restoring it.

We are considering making it more user friendly and release it as a feature, possibly.
